This series, In the dark, all shadows disappear, explores the transformative power of the mind in response to place. Drawing upon dream-like, narrative imagery, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity in the viewer.
Black and white photography is the perfect medium for this series, as it allows me to play with light and shadow in a way that accentuates the symbolic elements of my work. Through the use of symbolism, I seek to create a visual language that speaks to the subconscious, inviting the viewer to engage with the deeper layers of meaning within each image.
At the heart of this series is the theme of place. Whether it is a physical location or a psychological space, a place has the power to shape our perceptions and experiences. By exploring this theme through my photography, I hope to challenge the viewer's assumptions about what is real and what is possible.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a space for contemplation and reflection. Through my work, I aim to spark a sense of wonder and possibility, inviting the viewer to journey with me into the unknown depths of the imagination.
